Minister Chris Etheredge

Chris Etheredge is an inspiring independent Gospel Artist born in Washington DC. He is gospel music minister living in Cumming Georgia. His music is a mix of R&B, jazz, gospel, and smooth neo soul sounds. "Music is a release of what you can't see inside of me" He says. "It gives me a chance to let my love for God be shown threw my praise. I just want to get people excited about Jesus" Chris is the god son of Grammy gospel award winner Mrs. Shirley Ables who taught him how to sing and play the piano at a young age. Chris debut singles "In Prayer" & "JOY" has gotten Chris notice in the Gospel industry. “I want you to feel my music. I want you to know that we are not alone in our struggles." Chris says "God has been such a visible presents in my life I want other to feel it in my music." Anchored in the Lord Chris voice is one of power. An it is immediate heard in his music that he writes, sings, and produce. “I’ve always been a shy person so I know it's not me but God who is using me this way," he laughs. Chris debut album in title "I Call You My Friend" will be released summer of 2012. Chris is currently using his music ministry to bless others such as the homeless, cancer patients, and nursing home residents given them as much joy as he can with his God given talents. "I don't know what is God has for me in my music career if I will sell a whole lot of CDs", Chris says, "but just seeing the smiles and the lives my music touches is a blessing I can live with Having Joy in Jesus. Joy in knowing the God of Heaven is not controlled by our circumstances. Joy is given by God. The world didn't give it so the world can't take it away. Christian Joy is not external, Joy is internal. It's like our faith steady and unchanged. Pray always and sing praises to our God. Circumstances differ and problems come & go, but Christian Joy remains. Stand & refuse to let your circumstances destroy your life but let Joy rule your life. Stand & refuse to let people at work, home, or just in this world change your attitude. Choose to rejoice in whatever circumstance you find yourself..... and don't forget it is not what we are going threw, but how we go threw it. Keep that Joy in your walk... Joy in your talk... and Joy in your step. Rejoice in the Lord. Chris Etheredge, now living in Georgia was born raised in Washington D.C. His mother raised him in the Baptist church as a Christian. He join the church choir & sang vocals and background vocals as a natural blessed singer. He took some vocal lessons in Grammy award winner Miss Shirley Ables Music Ministry. He has always stood out with his voice going for different audition for back ground singers an being offered the lead singer position for different Gospel groups over the years. As a United States Marine Chris Etheredge served in Desert Shield & Desert storm traveling overseas during his tour. He spent most of the years that followed his Honorable discharge from the service helping other in different music genre while going threw his own storms of being homeless, false imprisonment, jobless, and loosing everything he had. The lost of his father to cancer was a strong turning point in his life. He states that, “Jesus has been the light in the darkness calling him to use his God given talents to sing songs of thanks giving and praise for bringing him threw so much and being with him in his life.” His music ministry is comprised of tell the Gospel through music. Letting other’s know that whatever the situation. Whatever the storm Jesus is their with you. Their is comfort in Jesus if you come humbly restoring your innocence through salvation.
