Chainsaw Hookers

Chainsaw Hookers are a Hard Punk Rock act from Perth, Western Australia. Known for infectious hooks and lyrics laced with horror movie themes. The ‘Hookers live show is a powerful onslaught not too be missed! Since their inception in ’05 Chainsaw Hookers have played hundreds of shows in Perth and WA. Over the past few years they’ve been on the road numerous times spreading blood on the east coas t of Australia building up a contingency of hardcore supporters. 2010 saw the band release the aptly titled ‘FIRST BLOOD’ EP and score a WAMi Nomination for best Punk/Hardcore Act. They also filmed music videos for RIDE THE VENOM and CHRISTINE from the EP. Continuing this drive into 2011 with a second consecutive WAMi Award nomination for Best Punk/Hardcore Act, Chainsaw Hookers were selected by TRIPLE J UNEARTHED to play a coveted spot on the Perth SOUNDWAVE FESTIVAL. After receiving an Arts WA Grant they spent 3 weeks recording and mixing their debut album with Lauire McCallum (SUMO Studios). The first single TEXAS IS HELL is now out on limited 7" Vinyl with the album set to debut in early 2012.
