Nyisha Channisse Jacobs, better known by her stage name, Buffalo Soda, is an American Rapper and Songwriter. Buffalo Soda was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. At the age of 11, Buffalo Soda began writing raps as a hobby. She didn't think much of it but she then realized she had the skills and was gifted with the talent of creating music. She has always had a feel for music, so it became second nature to her by the age of 14. She used to write and record music with friends from her neighborhood, school and various artists from her city. By the time Buffalo Soda turned 16, they were already calling her the best female rapper. With all the crimes going on in the city of Buffalo, she knew that she had to do something with her life that will better herself and keep her out of trouble. She knew that this would inspire and motivate other people to take advantage of the opportunities and sources around them and become a leader and idol for others. In 2013, Buffalo Soda started to take flight. Buffalo Soda started to become serious with her craft by professionally recording her music at a near by studio. In the meantime she was saving up for her own home studio. Buffalo Soda has dropped a mixtape in July of 2013 called "RedWhite&Blue". She has reached over 14,000 views on Datpiff.com. By the end of 2013, she was nominated as best rapper in Upstate New York. Then she knew it was time to expand globally. In early 2014, she was found by Ingrooves Label through Universal Records. She was offered an distribution deal to spread her music to the world. In March of 2014, she was The Upstate AllStarz featured Artist. The Upstate AllStarz is the Authority for the best hiphop/rap and R&B in Upstate New York. She has been on Vol.1-5 of The Upstate AllStarz Mixtapes and working on being on every volume after those. In April of 2014, The Upstate AllStarz released a mixtape featuring only Buffalo Soda which can be found on Datpiff.com or music stores in Upstate New York. Buffalo Soda has released her 1st single called "WAKE-N-BAKE" through Universal Records distribution Company which became number 28 on the top 100 UK charts. She has recently released her second single called "POPPIN LIKE SODA", and currently working on the video. Buffalo Soda will be releasing her 1st mixtape worldwide in the summer of 2014. Buffalo Soda quoted "I just want to be successful and live comfortably and not have any more worries. This is something I always loved to do and I was always told to follow your heart because you never know how far it can take you. So far its taking me places that I never dreamed that I would go".
