In a music industry filled with flavors of the month and flashes in the pan, it's rare and beautiful to find a musical act that truly endures. That is why we will celebrate the amazing six week legacy of the Banshee of Keen this Sunday at the Iron Barley. Sure, there have been the occasional changes in personnel, but the essential spirit of the group is just the same as when it was first developed back in those early days of August. In commemoration of this awesome milestone, the Iron Barley will play host to a variety of musical acts all afternoon and evening - and they're saving the best for first: That's right, the "BOK" themselves in a convenient 1:30-2:30 time slot that won't impact anybody's bedtime. So head to the alley behind the Iron Barley next Sunday for a day of fun in the sun with music, food, drink, and the living history that is the Banshee of Keen.
I will be performing with The Banshee of Keen, world's greatest Celtic-folk-prog-rock-boogie-new-wave-jam-band (or something like that) in the Chippewa Chapel Band Scramble.
