One of Boxkar’s most amazing memories is being invited by the President of the United States to play at his inauguration in Washington D.C. Scheduled to play 2 shows in D.C., one at The Armory and the second at The Ellipse. Boxkar amazed a 20,000 seat 2 tier arena with an outstanding show that brought everyone together and on their feet! Boxkar is a Midwest Rock/Pop/Alternative band from Appleton, Wisconsin. Their 10 years together has been a constant pursuit of perfecting quality music and entertainment, a total dedication to professionalism. With close to 1000 shows together, they have played countless venues from coast to coast and on the same stage as so many of the worlds’ music icons. This experience has given them the confidence and capability to inspire the audience and create an unforgettable experience. Their third album, "Can You Hear Me", was released September 2012, which has brought their sales to over 10,000 albums and 50,000 downloads. Boxkar is currently planning a showcase tour planning to reach from coast to coast! True performers who love what they do, Boxkar connects with every audience, every show! They have the right balance of uncompromising quality and instinctive adaptability. When asked what they love about it and how they do it…. It is simply stated, “We were made for this!” PHILANTHROPY Boxkar has been blessed with many talents but could not be successful without the support of our fans all over the world. An important part of who we are is appreciating how we got here. We are honored to receive opportunities to give back and recognize others for doing the same. Some recent events: Military Appreciation Day with The Timber Rattlers at Time Warner Field, Milwaukee Brewers affiliate. Boxkar performed at the stadium for Military Appreciation Day and wrote "American Game" for the event. All money raised from the special release single was donated to military families. (see video) HOPE A charity developed by Boxkar to help a selected local family in urgent need. HOPE 1 raised $20,000 for a patient with brain cancer in 2012. Children's Hospital Every year Boxkar participates in the radio-a-thon, with live performances and interviews, broadcasting throughout Wisconsin and surrounding states (and streaming live) with 100,000 watts to raise funds and awareness for childrens' health issues. Multiple Sclerosis Boxkar recorded on a charity album with proceeds going to the local organization helping people with MS. Military Deployments and Returns Boxkar has performed at and sung the national anthem for Military send offs and returns. ROCK FOR WISHES Boxkar has played in several annual Rock for Wishes concerts with all proceeds going to the Make a Wish program.
