Bob Moore, guitarist

Bob Moore has been playing guitar and writing songs since the 1970's. He was influenced by songwriters and acoustic rock musicians popular in the 1970's including John Prine, Loudon Wainwright III, Steve Goodman, Leo Kottke, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Bonnie Raitt, CSN, and also progressive rock bands including Genesis and Jethro Tull. As his interest in acoustic guitar grew he listened to solo guitarists including Michael Hedges, Ed Gerhard, Adrian Legg, Stephen Bennett, Chet Atkins, and later was influenced by guitarist Scott Ouellette. He began to compose pieces for solo guitar. Moore recorded an instrumental guitar collection and released it in 2013 entitled "A Bridge with a View". He also writes songs releasing a collection in 1991 entitled "On a Mission" and releasing a second collection of songs in 2018 entitled "A Place to Start." In the last ten years or so, Moore has been inspired by more contemporary songwriters including David Olney, Mary Gauthier, and Eliza Gilkysen. He writes personal songs that ask questions about redemption, forgiveness, and songs that advocate for personal, social and environmental changes.
