For Baltimore's own "Nephew", music isn't a hobby. It's a way of life. A Delaware native, Nephew has always had an ear for music. Any genre spoke to him as it piped through the speakers of his home. However, it was rap that ultimately permeated his soul. As a kid, Nephew's family migrated to Baltimore, Maryland which would soon become home for him. In school Nephew would walk the halls rhyming to himself. Spitting made up lyrics and even ones from well known songs of rappers such as 2 Pac who is his favorite and has been a huge influence in Nephew's now rap career. He feels that he was always able to relate to 2 Pacs music. And that in itself drove him to begin taking his passion for music on as more than just a hobby. Nephew has been in Baltimore, building his brand as an artist. Nephew has put in countless hours in the studio and performed at local as well as some out of town shows. With pen or mic in hand is how you will usually find Nephew. He says that he feels most at home when he is performing. Channeling the Late 2 Pac mixed with his own flavor, nephew has a very distinct style of rap which cannot be ignored. Currently working on his freshman album, Nephew plans to be in stores, Working with a plethora of other artists on collaborations and his favorite producer Damond Lamont & C4 this will be a project that leaves its mark on music. "Life Of The Party" is one of the anticipated first singles to be released from that album. Though he has put out several mix tapes and has become a force to be reckoned with in his home town, Nephew's dream is to be internationally known. A household name. A brand!
