Blind Mule

As a band who has escaped death while on tour in a sudden snow fall in BC, while going down steep mountains with worn out tires, or having toured in a minivan with 7 people for 2 months at a time, or travelling for 6000 km with a intermittently, next to broken transmission, whatever it took to get to the next gig, Blind Mule have always been about the adventure of bringing their music to the people, since living a career of music has always been their main focus, and as long as they are on their path, whatever obstacles come their way, they always figure out a way to get through the storm. Blind Mule has progressed from many musical directions since their inception in 2007, and their music has evolved from a folk roots duo, to a diverse sounding quintet, revolving around alt-country boogie, which dives into a bit of progressive pop, and throws in a dash of reggae/ska, while rounding it all out with many jams, which creates a recipe that keeps the dance floor alive, and the eyes of their fans drawn to the stage. After touring the country countless times, they have played every type of showcase possible, whether it be ‘The Northern Lights Festival Boreal’ opening for Serena Ryder, or a hippy commune house party, where they played 7 sets of music til the wee hours of the night, or a private party for bikers, where after a couple drinks, the token scary looking bikers loosened up and danced like it was a high school dance party, to playing in a parking lot in a native community in Northern Ontario opening for Trooper, or experiencing the magic of the Artswells Festival in Northern BC, where the whole festival takes over the small town of Wells. Blind Mule has been touring for 6 years throughout Canada, and are only now releasing their self/titled debut album in January 2013, and have gotten most of their opportunities from their reputation as a live band, where they are known to light up the life of each audience member they perform in front of. Through humor, witty banter, great music and story-telling, Blind Mule creates an energetic stage presence, full of song and dance, that can’t help but make fans of all ages smile and have a great experienceat their shows.
