NEW ALBUM: "The Shadows Playground" BUY on https://barbararubin.bandcamp.com/ It's the third work by the italian singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist Barbara Rubin. As the album "Under The Ice" (2010), and the mini- album "Luna Nuova" (2017), "The Shadows Playground" is self-produced from the composing till the mastering. This album speacks about many musical influences, life experiences, meetings with history, introspective journeys, reflections about the present that, along these passed years, left marks with musical notes, like photographies giving the inspiration to create nine tracks. These songs show the love for classical instrumental music which well fusing with the prog-rock influences. The Piano sets the basis for the instrumental layers as well as the harmonies, also with several solo interludes. The subtitle "Piano Works" wants to be a dedication for this wonderful working instrument, able to make the musicians thoughts come true. Thanks to a more individual and concentrated work about the recording tecniques, "The Shadows Playground" has been composed, performed, mixed and mastered by Barbara Rubin ...but it's quite impossible not to be impressed by the voice of Andrea Giolo, again with Barbara Rubin, after the performance of "Under The Ice" recordings as well as in live. Simona Sottocornola's photo shots, co-producer of "Luna Nuova Project", captures lights, shadows and the symbologies enclosed in this album.
