Often linked to the stylings of Jenny Lewis, Neko Case, Regina Spektor, Django Reinhardt, and Joni Mitchell, Anamieke is a strong female singer/songwriter with undeniably catchy tunes and a voice that soars and scratches in just the right spots. Eclectic and funky folk rock mixed with deep and stirring ballads are the heart of Anamieke’s performances. Though singer/songwriters are a dime a dozen in our fast-food generation, this one is worth digesting, if nothing else, for some much-needed nutrition.
