ALERO, is led by London born, bi-culturally raised, Vocalist/Songwriter (Alero) who has built up a wealth of experience performing across London’s live music scene. Boasting a unique vocal quality and texture, she’s established herself as a multi-layered vocalist capable of singing and performing to the wide range of musical styles offered by London’s ever evolving music scene. Fusing together the story-telling of Folk and the warmth of old Soul with the inhibited rawness of Rock and Roll, we take it back to the new school of Rock n Soul – where music exists to be felt, not just heard! Alero has performed at Cargo, Jazz Café, Royal Fest Hall, Ronnie Scotts, The O2 - Islington (LDN), Sugar Bar, 40C & Village Underground (NYC) Opus Bar & New Morning (Paris). Along the way, she has co-written across a beam of styles; Electro to Dub Step, Hip-Hop and Soul and has been blessed to work, play and share stages with phenomenal musicians such as State of Bengal, Foreign Beggars, Kyza, Randall (Faithless), Nitin Sawhney, Zero 7, Femi Kuti band and countless others. Alero is currently completing her first album, and has hand-picked a band that have played across the world with artists such as Macy Grey, TransGlobal Underground, Weapon of Choice, Solus3 and Plantlife, ALERO are ready to unleash their blend of Rock and Soul on the nation!
