Alan Grant

Alan has been an active and prolific writer and performer, both as a solo artist and with a number of bands for more than two decades. His original music blends "bluesy" rock with social and human issues that audiences all over have embraced enthusiastically. He has performed at major venues like the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, the Continental Arena, the Count Basie Theatre, Convention Hall, as well as dozens of tri-state area clubs. He has headlined a variety of concerts, outdoor music festivals, and has donated much of his professional career to supporting and performing fund raising concerts all over the United States. Alan has opened for, and shared the stage with Jon Bon Jovi, Matchbox Twenty's Rob Thomas, the Kinks’ Dave Davies, Daryl Hall, Cyndi Lauper, Clarence Clemons, Gary U.S. Bonds, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, Darlene Love, Bernard Purdie, Rob Paparozzi, Glenn Alexander, former Spin Doctor's guitarist Anthony Krizan, and members of Train, and the Bare Naked Ladies. Alan's music can be heard on Columbia Tri-Star's nationally syndicated reality show "ShipMates," as well as CNBC's annual special "Watch & Make Money" starring Alex Trebek. He also scored the independent film "CheckMates", which was submitted to the Sundance Film Festival. Outside of the more standard venues, Alan has performed in a variety of locales ranging from Florence Italy, to Key West, Stowe VT, and Martha's Vineyard. He is proud to be a member of New Jersey's own Holiday Express, a select group of professional musicians who have entertained and inspired audiences that include the Sept. 11th families, Columbine families, and hundreds of both civilians and military in Louisiana and Mississippi who are attempting to rebuild after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Most recently, Alan’s patriotic anthem “United We Stand” has received critical acclaim. Originally written for a documentary on the American Flag, this song is being sent to our brave U.S. military men and women overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan for more than three years. Most recently, Remington Shavers chose to use Alan's song "The Good Man" as the backbone for their social and digital media campaign.
