“Erika Jane and her mother each had the same wish for Christmas one year. Jane threw out the idea, hoping to plant the seed in her mom's mind. It backfired. “One year I told my mom that I'd like a guitar for Christmas and she said ‘me, too,'” Jane said. “The next thing I know, my mom got a guitar for Christmas and I got a sweater.” Eventually, Jane got a guitar and she hasn't put it down. “Vocally, there's a Nancy Sinatra thing with Johnny Cash meeting Grace Slick. It has a country feel with White Stripes mixed in.” There's a lot of music thrown into Jane's comparisons to her new band's music, but it all fits. Jane and bandmates Jacob Fritz Waller (guitar), Jarrod Perkins (drums) and JP Hess (bass) have worked in the studio to get the songs right, posted four already on their Website for listening and hope the EP is out in January.”
