My Grandfather, Harold Bishop, taught me to play guitar at age 6. He played acoustic guitar most of his life in and around Fairburn, GA though he was more locally known for his barber shop that was a staple of the town for nearly 50 years. Since then, I've been blessed to have shared the stage and studio with some of the most talented musicians and some of the best friends in my band. I've had the opportunity to meet a lot of wonderful people that support live music and artists & the privilege of playing at places and events beyond my wildest dreams!
I know, there's a LOT of songs, from a long time span, many different artists and bands in completely polar opposite genres, in no particular order on here. I wanted to share something that covered as many different styles of music as possible. Also to showcase myself or others on different instruments. I tried to offer a little bit of everything in hopes that everyone may find something that they enjoy.
I tried to highlight as many different bands/artists/musicians as possible. There are many live recordings on here. Most of the studio recordings were done in my basement from 1997 onwards with either a Yamaha 4-track analog (cassette) recorder and a couple of SM-58 microphones. Around 1998 I got a Roland VS880 digital 8-track and a CD burner. There is also some various songs from my times in other studios in Nashville, Atlanta & California that have been transferred from analog 2-track, our original demo of the theme song to the movie, "Dixie Dynamite" (later renamed "Shotokan Man" for home release), the NASCAR Redline theme music for the video game soundtrack at CURB Records Studio with the legendary Jim Ed Norman producing, our 1998 demo at Fireside Studio with George P. Clinton and anything else I had possession of that I could legally make available.
