I Enemy

IEnemy is a southern metal band that blends the grooves of the South with the grit, grime and angst of the average, low wage, foreclosed, underpaid and overlooked American citizen. With lyrics balancing on the fringes of social rebellion, political power, and the relentless struggle to survive in this modern world, IEnemy writes the soundtrack to the pulse of the resistant, resilient masses that have become the patsy for the powers-that-be. IEnemy was formed in November of 2011 by former members of the now defunct metal band Paid In Full. With the unexpected exit of their guitar player and album, remaining members Jeremy & Daniel Edwards and Jeremy Cate picked up the phone to another former member and guitar player, Josh Rigney. With a full house they began scratching the surface to find some new material. As the writing process matured, the new music began to take on a life of it’s own and moved away from the message and sound of the old band. Without wanting to tarnish the name and leave the loyal fans and friends with something that wasn’t the Paid In Full style, the guys respectfully retired the name and all musical connection with that piece of history. Out of the release that came from giving themselves a clean slate, Jeremy, Daniel, Jeremy and Josh along with the music and the message evolved into a grittier, groovier and more band oriented situation than anything they had been apart of before. The music, the emotion, the sweat, blood and tears that came from writing within just a few months opened a whole new avenue of musical exploration and allowed them to learn and cater to each others strengths and flaws, and eventually to connect and become one solid machine as a whole…It’s own worst enemy………..It’s own best friend……….A machine fueled by the world around them……… We are…………I Enemy
