A true Chicago legend, Johnny began his career as a child prodigy, winning 113 consecutive talent shows and signing a multi-million dollar deal with Columbia Records as a teenager. His debut album, Connect the Dots, launched a career that saw him tour with global superstars like Whitney Houston, The Jacksons, and Michael Bolton. However, it was his role as the signature voice of the Midwest's "gangsta love" sound that cemented his legacy. He was the essential collaborator on Do or Die’s multi-platinum single "Po Pimp," helped define the "Chicago sound" with Twista on the classic track "Emotions," and achieved iconic status on the song "Smile" alongside Scarface and 2Pac. His original sound and graceful demeanor made him one of Chicago's most beloved and sought-after artists. Never (Marrico King): The Lyrical Force Bringing a distinctive lyrical edge to the group is Never, a member of the legendary Chicago hip-hop group Crucial Conflict. Known for their groundbreaking 1996 hit "Hay," Crucial Conflict’s music was a raw reflection of their environment, delivering unique flows and street-level storytelling. Never’s gritty, skillful style provided the perfect counterpoint to Johnny P’s smooth vocals, grounding the group’s sound in the classic Midwest tradition.
