“Mile of Music Co-Founder & Curator Cory Chisel talks about Appleton's "beautiful flavor of originality and artisty" and the specialness of what our "little big town" can offer. Ultimately, our unique and vibrant culture is all about the people! What better place to host the first ever Mile of Music festival?!”

“The Mile of Music festival lineup keeps getting more robust. Organizers have named another two dozen artists to perform at the inaugural Mile of Music fest next month in downtown Appleton, including a pair of California bands in the midst of a national tour. The additional artists bring the announced lineup for the first-ever multi-venue songfest to 96. Dave Willems, festival co-founder with musician Cory Chisel, said in a released statement that a handful more will be announced this week to bring the roster to more than 100.”

“The inaugural Mile of Music will feature 80 - 100 original artists covering many musical styles within the Americana genre, and a bit beyond! All of the performers featured, from solo acts to multi-piece bands, are artisans crafting songs through life's experiences and journeys travelled. And, speaking of roads travelled, some are making lengthy road trips to be among the first to play Mile of Music, while others are from just around the corner. Our goal is to show these performing artists the creative side of Appleton - the "Authentic Appleton" side - while we're all treated to their handcrafted talents, stories and songs. There are many performers still to be announced in the coming weeks, so please check back regularly or visit postcrescent.com for the latest updates as well. Get ready, Appleton, it's going to be a fun ride!”
