Bio: The Black Sheep Family Reunion is an extraordinary and experiential 3 day Music and Arts Festival. It is located in a private forested valley in the gorgeous Oregon Coast Range only 13 miles from the Pacific Ocean, near the beaches of Waldport. Abundant shade and open meadows ensure excellent camping spots for everyone. Attendance is capped at only 1200 people in order to keep the intimate feel of a family reunion. Black Sheep Family Reunion features an eclectic and diverse line-up of live music every day, and until dawn on Friday and Saturday nights. We have one stage that was hand-built by our crew. Longer sets, combined with the synergy created by the beautiful environment and the receptive audience, give the musicians the freedom to stretch out. This consistently provides truly unique performances. The venue’s perfect outdoor acoustics make it possible to hear all of the music even if you are relaxing back at your camp or enjoying the many other things we have to offer. Besides a great musical line up the event also includes: •Art Installations and Workshops •Performance Art, our own Black Sheep Circus and vaudeville style juggling •Adult Gong Show and Youth Talent Show •Kid’s Zone with a Carnival and Teen Space with a Silent Disco •Kiddy Parade for all to participate in. We encourage you to be creative. The Black Sheep Family Reunion was started by a group of devoted volunteers rooted deep in the heart of the Pacific Northwest, with experience from many of the other fine festivals in the area. We strive to offer not just another music festival, but a musical retreat where participants share a common intent. We believe that the expression of our shared love for music, art, and the environment is instrumental in nurturing the development of community. In this way we hope to bring sustainability and peace on our planet one step closer to reality.
