Twin Arrows - very much like a modern post Black Keys take on Jefferson Airplane- bluesy alt rock with slide guitar dripping liberally over the backbeat and a female singer in the Grace Slick mould for sure- or The Doors meets Skunk Anansie...actually there's a neo Beefheart gist to the bluesology here, not Trout Mask of course but.. Shotaway - Roosty bluesey american infused indie, elements of Kings Of Leon but also sounds like The Band, soulful impassioned vocals and band can rock it up on the more up-tempo kings of leon inspired numbers. Kings Parade - Blue eyed soul with a swinging jazzy undercurrent. Think Moondance by Van Morrison meets Hue And Cry. Santana even when the guitar breaks in. So a pretty groovy retro jazz pop thing with soul touches. Truly Ford- "Truly Ford is an 18-year-old dynamo! Not only does she write and compose all her own material, she also has a sensational voice and is a captivating live performer. Musically drawing inspiration and comparison to artists such as Tracy Chapman, Laura Marling and Lucy Rose, her unique vocals, both sultry and melancholy, have been compared to those of Florence Welch and Amy Macdonald. Truly's unique vocals and enigmatic live performances have her pegged as 2013's "Next Big Thing!" ...there y'go...musically it's low slung country blues/pop...beautiful vibratto.
