“The Driftwoods Bluegrass quartet, The Driftwoods, is another of my town favorites. The only thing that can make a meal of Southern Comfort Shrimp more appealing is chowing down while listening to their music. While dining on the marsh at Creekside Dinery, chances are you will catch the old-time classics and contemporary ballads while the band performs covers and original material. The band consists of Eric Searcy on the banjo and dobro, Gabriel Valla on mandolin and guitar, Elisabeth Williamson on rhythm guitar and frailed banjo and Lon Williamson on the upright bass. Other than putting out two albums, most members of The Driftwoods have side projects proving the versatility of their musical abilities. The Driftwoods will perform December 11th at Creekside Dinery, 160 Nix Boatyard Road, near The Home Depot on U.S. 1 in St. Augustine.
