The Dirty Stop-Outs / Bio

The Dirty Stop-Outs are a high energy, skankin' Cambridge-based Ska/Punk/Dub/Experimental band formed in March 2016.

Members include those of Freedom Faction, Murder Ballads, Inter City Crazy Train, Bastard Squad UK and The Avoiders, all successful bands in their own right. Influences vary hugely and are too many to mention but include: PJ Harvey, Fugazi, King Tubby, Leftover Crack, Billy Bragg, Butthole Surfers, The Pixies, The Interrupters, The Selecter, Rancid, The Slackers, The Cat Empire, Radio Malanga, Gadjo, The Stranglers, Dave Brubeck Quartet, The Sonics, Killing Joke, Ian Dury and the Blockheads, Manu Chao, X-Ray Spex and Bikini Kill.

Since their formation they have played at Strawberry Fair, sharing a stage with the likes of PAIN, Ratbag and The Scraelings, as well as a number of shows at the 200 capacity Portland Arms venue, supporting a number of charitable causes.

The Dirty Stop-Outs hope to be playing the festival circuit regularly come 2017 and are finishing off 2016 with a series of good profile shows, including The Pisdicables London album launch and a Strawberry Fair benefit show at The Portland Arms supporting Cara Defektor and Dogshite. A number of ep’s and an album are to follow late 2016-early 2017
