Hosted at DiamondStone Guest Lodges across Hwy 97 from Newberry National Monument’s road to Paulina Lake, The Newberry Event is named after that volcanic event. 3-day tickets include tent camping, so guests can settle in, strolling the rural open meadows and cool forest. No streetlights, so bring a flashlight. Hey, there’s a sight not seen in Bend, the Milky Way! With Little Deschutes River access, maybe bring a kayak to float the slow winding Bridge St. stretch. Local brews and selected fine wines are served. Unique food trucks provide meals onsite, or just 10 minutes to Sunriver or La Pine to dine out. This is a LIMITED TICKET event with a private party atmosphere. Goals are two-fold, to raise research funds for the Oregon Chapter Multiple Sclerosis Society; M.S. is an immune-mediated neurological disease. Secondarily, it invites adventurers and music lovers to discover Southern Deschutes County. The new little city of La Pine has a big heart, a community who supports charitable events to fight cancer and MS. Buy a ticket, and come enjoy The Newberry Event. Good fun for a good cause.
