The Group Attitudes In Reverse remind us that mental illness is like air. It is all around us, but you just can't see it. They are helping battle the stigma associated with reaching out for mental health help and in this event bring exercise, animal companionship and music to the forefront as ways to cope with life.
Miki, AKC Award of Canine Excellence (ACE) recipient has inspired a mental health day with our four-legged companion. Let’s celebrate how good our pets are for our mental health.
The day will begin with a 5K Run, certified and timed by SI Running. If running isn’t your thing, walk with your best furry friend through beautiful Mercer County Park, in Central NJ. Plan too stay for the concert and food. This is a day of family fun and you don’t need your dog to participate! Lots of interesting vendors and events, such as Meet the Breeds, Freestyle Disc Dogs, Police Dog Demo, Dog Trainer Talk, Vet Tech Talk, Canine Good Citizens, Therapy Dogs, etc.
