Channeling bands with arena rock sounds such as U2 and The KIllers, AK is a loud and refreshing voice in the alternative scene. A groovy thundering rhythm section from drummer Brian Scheideman and bassist Nick Patrick featuring off the wall guitar licks and dance moves from guitarist Brad Foster, all led by passionate melodies and lyrics from charismatic frontman Jeremy Spring.
In 2010, AK was listed first on Alternative Press’ “100 bands you need to know” list. In 2011 the band released “Ad Astra Per Aspera”, the first label full length, receiving praise from critics and spending three days at #1 on Amazonmp3’s top selling albums. Relevant magazine describes the music as “Kings of Leon swagger with a euro-rock feel.” That same record was nominated for a Dove award for best rock album and followed up by new top 20 radio singles “Chariot” and “Turn It To Gold” in 2012. AK is headed back into the studio in 2013 gearing up for their next full length with tour dates in the US, Canada, Mexico, New Zealand, Australia, and parts of Europe.
