Free children's games & bounces and professional character look-alikes will add to the excitement. Don't miss out on pig races, kids' pony rides, food, live country music, and the ConEdison Ecology Booth. Haunted House and Amazing Maize Maze will be open as well (see event descriptions for hours). This is a popular event, so if crowds aren't your thing we recommend arriving early. As many of you know, Autumn is a favorite season for visiting the Queens Farm! Come on out today to buy a variety of Hudson Valley apples, fresh cider, & apple pie, and enjoy live country music by Savannah Sky from 12-4pm. A local shearer will be on the farm today demonstrating sheep shearing with their Cotswold sheep. Due to the high numbers of visitors at The Queens County Farm Museum each October, we recommend arriving early so you don't miss out on any of these fall treats! This event is FREE (no gate admission) and the fun begins at 11:00am; the band starts at noon. Bring the kids, bring Grandma, bring the whole family... there's something for everyone to enjoy at the Farm!
It's Honky-Tonk Thursdays at Hudson's on the Mile, and Savannah Sky is ready to show the South Shore what honky-tonkin' is all about! Join us for $4 Fireballs, $4 Jim Beam, $2 Bud Light Drafts (at bar only), and plenty of great music from 7-10pm. We'll have Lyndy with us to DJ and teach on the breaks, so put on your dancing shoes and join us for a night of honky-tonkin' and just plain fun on the Nautical Mile.
Savannah Sky returns to Jonathan Ielpi Firefighter Memorial Park, formerly known as Grace Avenue Park, for a free concert in the gazebo on Tuesday, July 28, from 8:00-9:30 pm. We are excited to be back in Nina's home town, playing the best of classic & contemporary country music, rockabilly, western swing music and more... Dancing in the grass is allowed!
