Kevin Hyman, professionally known as Spark Ezy, is a Philadelphia-born hip-hop artist whose roots run deep in North Philadelphia. Developing a passion for rap at just 10 years old, Kevin was inspired musically by his cousin, the late and legendary songstress Phyllis Hyman. What started as entertaining family quickly evolved into a serious pursuit, as his natural charisma and lyrical talent set him apart early on.

Influenced by the raw energy of local rap culture, he adopted the name Spark Ezy, earning recognition in the streets for his sharp delivery and battle rap skills. In 2010, he released his debut single, “Sky Divin,” marking his official entry into the recording scene. He later joined the team LB4R, affiliated with Philadelphia artist Santos, further sharpening his artistry and expanding his reach.

Spark Ezy’s music captures the pain, pressure, and perseverance of life in Philadelphia’s toughest neighborhoods, blending vivid storytelling with a distinctive sound and high-impact energy. In 2016, he released his powerful project “TITANIUM,” a hard-hitting body of work that solidified his presence. He followed with the EP “O.G. EZY,” featuring emerging Philadelphia artists and delivering both fire and feeling.

Continuing to build his brand BLACKHEART, Spark Ezy released the DJ-hosted mixtape “SEMIII POCALYPSE” in 2018, showcasing his versatility and relentless work ethic. From 2020 to the present, he has been consistently recording and releasing singles, laying the foundation for another dynamic album release slated for 2026. He is also preparing to follow up with his anticipated project, “TITANIUM II,” continuing the evolution of his sound and legacy.
