“... kind of a psych-punk thing, mostly hard-funk, with the solid low end, thrashy drumming, and heavy-but-moody guitar- lotsa power chords and wah-wah, with some riffs & fills (and straight-out leads) spread throughout. The lead singer is on hand when he’s needed, but they’re mostly a three-piece; and they all add backing vocals- which is when they start to sound like a certain Presidential Lovefest band. They’re a good bit of “out there”, but harder and assuredly more alt-edged. The Van Burens are safe for your children to hear (well, mostly), but these guys maybe not so much. They’re pretty forceful. Tell ya what, though, they are nothing if not creative. As their set progresses (slight pun perhaps), they really are blending genres. It’s all solid rock, but the range from funk-punk to schizoid grunge (with harmonies, even) is impressive. There is a common thread of consistency running through it all, musically and in terms of attitude. They are serious fun.”
