Yesterday, Steven was announced as a nominee for The Canadian Radio Music Awards in the category of Best New Group/Solo Artist (country) of the Year for his song, "Now". Steven shares this category with fellow nominees Darren McGinnis, Dean Brody, One More Girl and Victoria Banks. Presented by the Canadian Association of Broadcasters (CAB), the 13th Annual Canadian Radio Music Awards honour Canada's hottest rising radio music stars. The awards will be handed out at a gala luncheon on Friday, March 12, 2010, at the Fairmont Royal York Toronto, as part of Canadian Music Week celebrations. RGK Entertainment artists, Doc Walker, Tara Oram and Corb Lund, head west for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Celebrations this winter. Both Doc Walker and Tara Oram will perform at official events hosted on Manitoba Day and Newfoundland and Labrador Day, respectively. As each province hosts their Olympic Games day, events will showcase local entertainers and artists to an international audience. Doc Walker, natives of Portage La Prairie, Man., will perform at Olympic Torch Runs on January 5 and 7 in Winnipeg and Portage La Prairie. They will also perform on February 25 at Manitoba Day at B.C. Place. Doc Walker then head to Surrey, B.C. on February 26 to play at the 2010 Celebration Site, a 13-day festival at Holland Park. From Hare Bay, N.L., Tara Oram will perform at B.C. Place Stadium on February 26 as part of Newfoundland and Labrador Day. Tara also plays Vancouver on February 25 and 27 at LiveCity Vancouver and The Granville Island Stage, respectively. LiveCity Vancouver includes two celebration sites in downtown Vancouver at David Lam Square and Georgia Street. Prior to the games, Tara will also perform at the Olympic Torch Relay in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Award-winning Albertan singer songwriter, Corb Lund, will take a break from touring Canada and the U.S. to take part in the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic celebrations. Lund plays LiveCity Vancouver on February 17, the Surrey 2010 Celebration site on February 18 and Whistler Live! at the Whistler Village Square on February 19. This Waterloo, Iowa native moved to Music City in 2000, honing her writing and performing skills within the Nashville songwriting community until she came to the attention of Capitol Records Nashville. Emily's debut single "Rocks in Your Shoes" put her on the map in 2008 and her self titled debut album hits stores summer of next year following her next single, "Blue Sky" featuring label mate Keith Urban.
