A Message from East of Monroe

After a long illness and a valiant struggle, we have lost our beloved friend and band mate, Dave Giegerich. Our hearts go out to his wife, Pam, sons Axel and Carter and the rest of his family and friends. Dave was a loving and devoted family man, a generous friend, a fantastic band mate, and a fabulous musician. We are devastated by the loss, but will always be inspired by the way he lived. Dave brought smiles to our faces and joy to our hearts through his music, his intelligence, his humor, his friendship and his humanity. He made the world a better place and we are lucky to have known him.

A memorial celebration is planned for Saturday January 15 at 2:00 at the Maryland State Boy Choir Center for the Arts, 3400 Norman Ave. Baltimore. The official memorial service announcement can be found here: http://froghollowsodfarm.webs.com/Dave_Memorial[1].pdf

(Service in the sanctuary followed by a pot luck jam in the Social Hall.) For directions, click here: http://www.marylandstateboychoir.org/center-for-the-arts/directions

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to a fund established to allow Axel and Carter to finish their education. Contributions may be mailed to 3731 Crossbow Ct Ellicott City MD 21042.
