I'm really excited to announce that captain squeegee has begun it's invasion of the film community.
Lead singer, Danny Torgersen (me), will be featured as an actor/composer in the short film "Multivese". It was filmed and written by Sean Oliver from III productions. And ALSO in conjunction with a 24-hour Film Festival, in which we wrote/directed/edited/scored the short film in only a day!! But I'm not gonna act like we succeeded haha... huh :-l
It took us like 40 hours, you'll understand when you see it.
My video director and I have been editing for entire days at a time. I've hardly slept in weeks. My garage is STILL a spaceship. And now there's some "sweet-ass" flyers that I'll be spending christmas posting on every webpage that will let me....
----JANUARY 3RD---- AT THE SETS in TEMPE, AZ DOORS AT 6:30 PM $10 AT THE DOOR!! FEATURING: CAPTAIN SQUEEGEE, WEIRD IS THE NEW COOL, FATTER THAN NANCY, TONIGHT WE HAVE RHYTHM & MORE....

All I'm sayin' is you better go to this.
Or my band will abduct you and probe you mercilessly.
Thanks to the geographically-independent black magic of the internet, a Frenchman by the name of Jean-Philippe Has happened upon our myspace page and dug what he heard!
Anyway, our friend Jean-Philippe happens to be a writer for a French online music magazine called "Progressia". Here's the article he wrote about us, but we translated to English for your reading pleasure.
THANK YOU Jean-Philippe Hass!
"Captain Squeegee Nothing vs. Everything (2008)
From time to time, out of nowhere (let us say Arizona), musicians appear that are molded of a certain talent. We don't know where they found it or even if they are aware of its significance. An alchemy occurs then to give rise to an artistic happening which brushes the state of grace. The osmosis which reigns between the musicians of Captain Squeegee and Nothing vs Everything is of this order, nothing less.
The unlikely offspring between British pop, a jazz big band and alternative rock musicians, this American group of boys has hereditarily all the qualities of these genres: the freedom of tone and the immediacy of rock, the accessibility of melodies and the youthful freshness of pop, the arrangements, groove and the attitude of the big band. Cajoling brass insolently threatens a vigorous rhythmic section, while the youthful voice of Danny Torgersen tempers all this and seems to sing "Don't be too serious, life is good."
The eleven titles of the album toss such quantity of influence as it would be in vain to put a label on the rosy rear end of this American septet. When funk meets metal, when jazz flirts with folk music, when americana merges with the indie, they acquire Nothing vs Everything. Uniformity is declared unwelcome, radio formatting finds a closed door and boasting finds itself mildly thanked. The talent of Captain Squeegee is of one type : that of pleasure.
And if the album takes on another dimension in concert, this small pearl of joy can really boast to be served by a succulent live production which will have you clapping and jumping around all night.
These musicians may not have even all lost their virginity yet, and they already have a bright future. If a worthy label wanted to invest in these young prodigies, he could undoubtedly win the "Nez Le Plus Creux 2008." In the meantime Nothing vs Everything risks wearing out your record player.
Originality : 9/10 Interest : 9/10 Production : 9/10 Overall : 9/10"
I hope we lose our virginities soon.
