Coming in January: "Infinite Spirit: Revisiting Music of the Mwandishi Band"

Arriving January 16 on FMR Records: with Bob Gluck, Billy Hart, Eddie Henderson, Christopher Dean Sullivan. An exciting exploration of the musical vocabulary and searching spirit that inspired Herbie Hancock’s seminal sextet, the Mwandishi band. This new quartet of jazz explorers includes two musical masters from the original ensemble. The musical performances sparkle with a plenitude of sonic colors and textures, robust grooves, melodic lyricism, and collective musical intuition.

New recording coming soon!

On "Tropelets," Andrew Sterman (soprano sax) joins Bob Gluck (piano, electronics, and sound collage) to offer a melodious yet edgy series of improvisations based upon traditional biblical chant. Look for it in mid-March.
