Coast to Coast For kids

On May 11, 2015, I intend to begin a transcontinental journey, running from coast to coast along the entire length of the old historic U.S. Route 6, beginning in Long Beach California and ending in Provincetown Massachusetts. I am doing this run in order to raise money for disadvantaged kids in San Jose. I am writing to ask for your help in supporting youth activism by sponsoring my run. All donations are tax deductible and will be used to provide programs such as music, academic support, and athletic activities for San Jose's inner city kids who would not otherwise have access to these privileges. If everyone pitches in a little, we will make a BIG difference in the lives of young people who could really use some help. I am also offering to send my latest album, "Beginning" to anyone who donates $15.00, or my book, "Good Enough For Myself'" to anyone who contributes $25.00. Not only that, but I will be fund matching the first $500.00 of donations. Another way to get involved by coming out to run with me as I go along, (I will be wearing a live GPS so you can see where I'm at) or by attending one of the kick-off events, which are posted on my website calendar and on Reverbnation. You can always follow me on Twitter or like my FB page to see whats going on, and keep your eye out for email updates, as I will be sending a link to the live GPS tracking soon! Turkey Day my way!

Welcome to the Holidays! I wish you a warm & wonderful Thanksgiving and hope that you are surrounded by loved ones. While the holiday season is purported to be a time of festivities and good times, there are some people who look towards the season with a big lump in their stomach. I am not going to say which way I swing, but I will say...this Thanksgiving I'll be doing Turkey Day my way ~ down at the bar! Not because I am a big drinker, but because every year Johnny, owner of San Jose's favorite hot spot JJ's Blues Lounge, hosts a huge thanksgiving spread in honor of all the local "displaced" musicians who come through JJ's. You see, Johnny has noticed that many musicians wind up having less than ideal family & home situations. We don't know why this epidemic exists, but we do know that the annual party he throws us, complete with all the trimmings, is a blast! That's where I'll be again this year on Turkey night, listening to some good old blues by my friend Mike Osborn & band. And let's not forget the diva, miss Electra, behind the bar. It's going to be festivities and good times! Next, I want to say a big giant THANK YOU to my friends out there who have been nagging me about my new album release. Thanks for nagging, it means the world to me! I know you've been patiently waiting and it's been a long time coming but... it's finally here!!! The sequel to "Diamond In The Rough" is called "Exactly Like Me" and you can get it on my website. If you'd like to pick up a copy in person, come out to one of the shows! Here are a few to choose from~ or stop by & say hi at the farmers market, check my calendar there's a lot of great stuff coming up. I would love to see you!

OMG: what people are saying about me!
