Friends, it looks like the Wood half of Willow & Wood has a ruptured disk, so, alas, we will have to postpone our March performances and tour while he recovers. In the meantime, I am planning a June tour throughout the South. If you have any ideas for house concerts, intimate venues, listening rooms where you'd like to see us in Mississippi, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina, please hit me! And/or let me know if you'd like to host a house concert! Until then, here is a tune to warm your insides while we all wait longingly for those sweet, warm spring afternoons https://soundcloud.com/misswillow/whiskey-faces

Many exciting things are coming round the bend for Kevin and I this summer as we wind our way down to the big move! We've been weeding through guitars, recording equipment, CD's etc. trying to decide what makes the cut, and what gets left behind. Kevin has been working on some new guitar parts for the EP project that seems to be stretching on much longer than we initially thought :). And we've got two new songs under the band's belt that we hope to lay down on tape sometime in the next 12 weeks before we pull up camp! Speaking of new songs... We had such a lovely time at NW Folklife - thank you to all the 'waltzers' who donned animal masks and spun on the floor to our new tune 'Liars Waltz'! That may be one of my very favorite musical memories in Seattle! MWAH!:) You can find pictures of our Folklife performance, and said waltzing at our Facebook Page .
I've only two shows left in the Pacific Northwest! I will post more details as we get closer, but wanted to make sure I gave you the info so you can SAVE THE DATES!

Spring is in full, glorious bloom (albeit a chilly bloom this morning!) in Seattle. And with that, comes a handful of performances and happenings in the world of Willow & The Embers!
I am thrilled to have been invited to perform at this year's Seattle NW Folklife. It's been a few years since I've performed at this fun festival, and the Embers and I are really looking forward to our concert Sunday, May 24th 12:20pm - 12:50pm (https://www.facebook.com/events/453378844837697/). We will be playing songs from each of my records...from Seem To Have Nothing https://soundcloud.com/misswillow/seem-to-have-nothing, to Break Your Heart Full https://soundcloud.com/misswillow/break-your-heart-full, to Radio Sky https://soundcloud.com/misswillow/01-radio-sky-3! A little 'Willow' retrospective if you will .
Speaking of things I am thrilled with... I received a lovely email this morning from KSER 90.7 in Everett, letting my know that they have put Radio Sky into their rotation! Big thanks to KSER! And to all our lovely North-end fans, feel free to send them an email or phone call and request us! DJ/Request Line: 425-303-9076, http://kser.org/about/contact
And speaking of Radio Sky, we released our Radio Sky https://youtu.be/4S5QTkprb50 video a few months ago and you can find it on our youtube.com/WillowandTheEmbers channel . Check it out and pass it on!
Kevin and I are closing in on our big move to Nashville this September. We recently returned from another treck down south, played some music and scouted out places to live, places to work, places to eat...especially love finding places to eat! While down there, we took a bit of a break from all the apartment hunting (and eating!), and recorded a new tune in the studio hallway of our good friends, David and Anika Bavas. It's defiantly 'live' - you can hear the creaking of the floor, and a train in the back ground, and a little giggle afterwards - but it's always fun to share new things. For now we're calling the tune Drummer Boy https://soundcloud.com/misswillow/drummer-boy
In addition to all of the above, we'll be performing at the Yakima Valley Folk Festival July 12th, and will be having our last Seattle concert July 25th on Lake Union. Further details on both to come.
In the meantime, thanks so much for lending your ears to our music...you make my heart full!
