Soul Dope Sunday Review

While the rest of the world was settling down to enjoy #superbowl50 the stage at Scarlet & Grey Cafe was being set up just so that some of the hottest unsinged artist in Ohio could come together to burn it down, as apart of Soul Dope Sunday a open mic event the first Sunday of every month hosted by the ever charismatic Jae Esquire and we were front and center for every show stopping minute of it. The Stage was set the drinks were cold and the wings were HOT! then the show opened with the erupting reggae sounds of the live guest band ALL STAR JAMMERZ who performed their original hits including "Hands In Di Air" and "Come to Party" then they were joined on stage by Ms. Soul Dope herself Qamil to perform a reggae cover of Adele's "Hello". Well if that wasn't enough of a show opener then Kirk Diggler takes the stage and grabs the mic to perform one of my all time favorites "Is this love" by Bob Marley, by now the joint is hot! and the crowed is ready for more...oh yeah and the Denver Broncos were up 10-0 but back to the real show. The stage was set for last months (SDS) open mic winner and this months spotlight featured artist Lyrikal Goddess took the stage alongside the All Star Jammerz and kicked it up with a reggae rendition of Rihanna's (2009) smash hit "Rude Boy"...ok! I'm going to keep it 100! "THE SHIT WAS LIT!!!" I mean all of that and it was just the opening of the show.
