Delta Panhandlers / Blog

A Hit At The Art Market

... delightful set at the Palmer Park Art Market -- thanks to Mia for having us and Neti Vaan and Steve Spitz for filling a couple of empty chairs. We can't wait to have a return visit.

First Time At Palmer Park Arts Market

... looking forward to the first time visit for the Delta Panhandlers (although Band-In-A-Pocket has played there previously). We'll miss having Dave Easley and Gina Forsyth with us but are privileged to have Neti Vaan and Steve Spitz filling in. You KNOW that it will be dance music.

Swingin' At The Allways Lounge

What a delightful vibe on Tuesday nights at the Allways Lounge -- the All-Star Covered Dish Country Jamboree. We played it again last night -- wonderful place.

Return To The Allways Lounge

... looking forward to a return visit to the All-Star Covered Dish Country Jamboree. What a delight to follow Wasted Lives! All you dancers be sure to come out.

Hot Times At The Allways Lounge

... much thanks to Joy and Matt and the gang at the Allways Lounge for being such delightful hosts of the All Star Covered Dish Country Jamboree. What a vibe! ... will be heading back even when we're not playing there. Joy said there is a Texas Swing band from Houston booked for 2 weeks from last night -- gotta see it. ... a special thanks to Neti Vaan for joining us on a handful of tunes. Twin fiddles! It doesn't get any better than that.

Live Debut!

... excited that we're finally getting our performance debut at the Allways Lounge on St. Claude.

Scratch Mixes!

Thanks to Dave Easley's diligence, we have scratch mixes for all of the best takes from the Black Friday sessions -- posted a sample each of "Indiana" and "I'm An Old Cowhand" for fans to check out.

Recording Progress!

... had a delightful day on Friday (the day after Thanksgiving!) recording at Dave Easley's place in Covington. We put down basic tracks for 5 tunes and even got in some overdubs. ... just need the remaining overdubs and mixing to have it ready for fans to check out!
