Visit the Faroe Islands April 2017

A great chance to visit and explore the Faroe Islands with a local musician Stanley Samuelsen and Friends. Nora Musik and Stanley Samuelsen will on April 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18 be on a concert tour in the Faroe Islands. We arrange concerts and small guided tours. You find the flights and accomodation that suits you the best. Flights are from Denmark, Norway, UK or Iceland. You are on your own, able to do what you want and if you like to hang out with others on the tour it is very easy and relaxed. The Faroe Islands is a small place and if you decide to go there to join some or all our concerts and let Stanley guide you on minor walks in the nature and villages, please send an email and we will send more information. We will all stick together as much as anyone want to. With a lot of fun. We need musicians for open stage and fans of Stanleys music to join us. Write noramusik@gmail.com for more information about the tour. Flights to the Faroe Islands from Denmark is 2 hours, and from Bergen, Norway, Iceland and Edinburgh, Scotland 1 hour. I recommend you rent a car on arrival. You can reach any village in max. one hour because the islands are so small. There are tunnels and ferries connecting the Islands. The concerts will start on April 14th and end on April 18th. The concert tickets are from 13--26 EURO 100-200 DKK Flights are from 135 euro one way from DK. Car rental is recommended and is around 47 Euro a day. Accommodation is from 94 euro pr night in a hostel. Cheaper if you share a house or flat with someone. We are planning to help with accommodation on 14th and 15th in small villages. All other nights will be best in Tórshavn if you want to follow Stanley and Friends on tour. Each concert is different. with different musicians and songs.

Stanley Samuelsen, musician,composer

Stanley's music is the folk style, but he touches many different styles including blue-grass and country.

His music is heavily inspired by British and US guitarists e.g. John Renbourn and Stephen Stills.

He plays solo as well as with his band. Stanley has been touring every Nordic and Baltic country since 1990. Stanley's career as a musician began in the early sixties playing lead guitar in a local rock n´ roll band. Throughout the seventies and eighties before he started writing his own music, he played in many different bands, performed on TV shows in Denmark and his faboulous guitar is heard on quite a few records in Denmark.

"A musical experience of great quality. One sences that music means everything to Stanley. His way of performing is full of passion for his homeland, the nature and life. Stanley is culture, that's a fact"
