Well it's been too long since I updated the JDB blog. We released our new CD in August and have gotten some positive feedback. For everyone that has downloaded or bought a CD a big thanks. I also want to thank everyone that has listened to our songs on RN or watched our videos on youtube.
We had fun at our two CD Release parties in Texas at Shotgun's in Austin and the Auslander in Fredericksburg. We are working on adding more dates in the near future so stay tuned. We may also be planning a trip to our favorite West Texas bar, the Railroad Blues in Alpine, Texas.
Again, can't thank you enough for your support. John
The John Deery Band is excited to announce a brand new album "Burnin' The Trailer Park Down!" The album will feature 11 never before recorded original tracks. The planed release date is sometime in Early 2013.
Early in 2012, John Deery, Eric Smith, Jorge Castillo and Travis Woodard got together at Birdhouse Recording Studio in North Austin to cut a few demos. These demos were a collection of songs recently written by John. Even though the fellas hadn't played together in years, it was clear the chemistry was still there. Also, the band felt strongly that these original tunes could be more than demos and were stronger than previous JDB material. These songs quickly became more than just words on a piece of paper, and an album was born.
A full CD takes a lot of time to record and produce. We are at the half way point and extremely happy with what we got so far.
The first song on the album is the rocking country tune "Buddy Jackson Trailer" then a pair of Americana rock songs "Where Do I Go Know" & "Staring Out." Those songs are followed by two good ole honky tonk bar room songs, "Good Way to Get Hurt" & "Drinking of You." An acoustic jem "Bring it Back Home" and then a dancehall pleaser "Alpine Wine" written by Travis Woodard. Followed by "#32" and southern rockers "Last Miles" and "The Last Jam." The final song on the CD is the emotional "Out of The Darkness."
