AND NOW ABOUT THE ARTISTS... INTRODUCING ANNIE FITZGERALD: www.anniefitzgerald.com If there were any justice in the world, singer/songwriter Annie Fitzgerald would be sitting at the top of the music mountain amidst popular singers as Alicia Keys and Norah Jones. Her sultry, soothing voice and musicianship is a talent that needs to be shared with the world. Annie moved to NYC from Crookston, MN in 2005 to chase her dream of being a singer, songwriter and performer. The following year she released her self-titled debut EP with the assistance of Karl Demer at AtomicK Records and co-writer John Lynn. Their song "Ain't that a Shame” from the EP was chosen be on the 2007 Best of the Songwriters Hall of Fame Compilation CD, featuring the most talented of the 57th New Writers Showcase, and they deemed her an artist to watch. We look forward to introducing her to Central NY. ABOUT MIKEY POWELL (The Polite Rebel): www.politerebel.com Mikey Powell has transformed from All-American Lacrosse star into a gifted and prolific songwriter and performer, proving to be as fierce a force on the music scene as he was on the field. Equipped with a Martin guitar and a case full of harmonicas, Powell has zeroed in on a sound that combines his folk storytelling ability with the tone of a vintage soul singer. Many Dylan fans are starting to take notice of the young songwriters abilities and his attention to traditional roots music. He returns to Central New York on the wings of his latest CD release “Replevin” and a long summer tour spent performing and promoting his CD across the US and Europe.
