Evry7th / Press

“Hosted by Lynda Boyd of "Republic of Doyle," this concert will feature performances by award-winning East Coast musicians. All proceeds will go to The Telegram's Warm Hearts campaign for Iris Kirby House in St. John's and O'Shaughnessy House in Carbonear, shelters for women and children leaving abusive relationships.”

“When they released their first album, a year ago, the members of Evry7th were just interested in letting people hear their sound.”

“When the nominee list for this year’s MusicNL awards was announced Wednesday, some local musicians say they were happily taken aback. Evry7th, a relatively new St. John’s-based band with Turkish, gypsy and rock ‘n’ roll influences, received two nominations: Rising Star and Jazz/Blues Album.”

“Evry7th is an acoustic rock trio with roots in jazz, flamenco and various incarnations of the generalization “world music.” The band consists of 3 musicians who are individually gifted in their own right. Vocalist and guitarist Eren “Turk” has been obsessed with music from a very early age, receiving training from a variety of international music instructors in his homeland of Turkey and abroad. Mobile native Jeremy Walsh (bass) was raised on healthy doses of 90s rock, and later broadened his horizons on the MUN music scene, even going on to support Canadian Idol runner-up Rex Goudie. Percussionist Craig Luscombe is a seasoned drummer who earned his stripes in the early 00s group Sundriver and brings the funk to Evry7th with his splashy cymbal accents and thick beats. Today’s track, “Animal” is from the band’s 2010 debut EP and exemplifies their flamenco flare with Eren’s virtuoso work & soulful vocals floating over the thick grooves produced by Jeremy and Craig. evry”

“Evry7th: Ethereal Rock and Roll with a sweaty rhythm section. Evry7th is a hard-working, business oriented, group of ultra talented musicians. They are each superb musicians in their own right and their combination of talents produces a unique and instantly recognizable sound. They have an irresistible groove and a funky energy that instantly fills the room. The sound is fresh, it's tasty. Its not a new twist on an old genre, its a new genre, flamenco Rock.”

“Evry7th defines themselves as a 'flamenco rock trio'. That is a great place to start, but doesn't even give you half an idea of how eclectic Evry7th really is. They say that every seventh wave is a big one, and that is where this musical group derives their name. Eren 'Turk' Bayazitoglu, is on guitar, trumpet and vocals along with Jeremy Walsh on bass and vocals and Craig Luscombe, on percussion, and vocals make up one of the newest bands to hit St. John's. Playing together since only November; they have already released their first CD, the self-titled 'Evryth'.”

“Evry7th is a real interesting acoustic rock band that plays a blend of flamenco guitar with rock and pop ryhthms. They have a very unique sound, and are starting a new genre "flamenco flared acoustic rock". Thanks to Evry7th for coming in to perform at our TV show Out Of The Fog”

“Full radio show dedicated to Evry7th. K-Rock 97.5 FM "Under The Influence". Includes Evry7th interview, influences, behind the scenes material, Debut EP, new album sneak preview and more. [11pm NL, 10:30pm ET)”

“The three-member local acoustic band’s sound is unique, thanks to a style that’s influence by Turkey, gypsy culture, rock ’n’ roll … and the Southern Shore.”
