“Going to a show where Eviscera is playing is the perfect way to start out a week's vacation from work, especially since my wife, Candie Pence Livesay decided to join me for the show. Eviscera is one of those 3-piece bands that makes enough noise to sound like at least 6 people, yet there is perfect order in that whirling wall of sonic chaos. Patrick Weatherholtz is the engine that drives this machine, churning out a perfect combination of thrashing riffs with intense solos while abusing your ears with the shrieking howls of an angry deity. Eric Bange covers not only the pistons of soul-grinding bass, but the growls and roars that belch forth are the weapons in this war against mediocre metal. Jr Roberts is the pulse that keeps Eviscera oiled and drives the pace with machine gun fire and cannon blasts. The band is in perfect time and has a wide range of influences, including Testament and Black Label Society.”
