Greater Arizona Country and Western Swing Music Association and Hall of Fame. Our home base is in Prescott Valley, Arizona where we hold monthly meetings and jam sessions on the second Sunday of each month from noon to 4 p.m. at the C.A.S.A. Senior Center, 9360 E. Manzanita Circle in Prescott Valley. (Google this address to get directions.) We are a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization whose purpose is to promote the enjoyment and expansion of Country Swing music throughout the State of Arizona (and the world). We do this through our monthly meetings, through outside events such as our Prescott Opry, and through advertising, competitive events, and scholorships to young people with an interest in Country Swing music. For more information, come to one of our monthly gatherings, or call Jim @ 928-458-0714.
A Grand Ole Opry Style Family Show. Show starts at 7 pm and ends at 9:30
We are a country music venue featuring big name entertainers, up and coming stars, and local talent performing with some of the areas best musicians. Each month features a new line up of entertainers from all over the country that perform traditional country music old and new. The VFW Post offers a climate controlled environment, a great dance floor, and food and beverages in a smoke free atmosphere.
The first Country Music Monday Show was held in January, 1993 and has been bringing people to Giddings for the past 18 years. Our Rotary Club is very proud of the success of this program. It started out as a fundraiser for the club but it has turned into our most successful “Community Service” project. Proceeds are used to fund scholarships for deserving students in Lee county’s three school districts. During the past 18 years, the club has awarded many scholarships for $1,000 each!
