“Italian quintet Dismal Faith is one of those modern type Metal bands that formed in abundance back in the early 2000's. Playing Metalcore, they seem to be one of the bands that managed to withstand the passage of time, having released their first full-length in the middle of last year. Their longevity can, to some extent I believe, be attributed to their willingness to add a dab of Black and Death Metal into their sound (not much, but just enough to give them an edge on many of the other bands of the same genre). At its core, Morph is a Metalcore album, with a little more depth and aggression thrown into the instrumental performances. Not much, as stated previously, but just enough to make them stand out. The vocal tracks are, as to be expected, delivered in deep growls accompanied by the occassional forced clean vocal.”
