oEmbed

oEmbed is a format for allowing an embedded representation of a URL on third party sites. It is a popular standard adopted by sites such as WordPress and Tumblr to embed content from other websites.

ReverbNation currently supports oEmbed for our artist profile pages, and song pages. The ReverbNation oEmbed endpoint serves up an embed code for the ReverbNation Player Widget.

Endpoint

The ReverbNation oEmbed endpoint is located at 

https://www.reverbnation.com/oembed?url=

It accepts any URL pointing to an artist or song and supports XML and JSON as a response format.

Example:

https://www.reverbnation.com/oembed?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.reverbnation.com%2Fscottyandthereverbs

which returns something like:
