Q: Do you remember Al Cartwright of Wilmington, DE?

A: Al Cartwright gave me a BIG break, and he will always be a wonderful friend. I sent him a song he loved, my version of Kinky Freedman's "Corned Beef on Rye" about 2 years ago. i am hoping that by that date he was still able to enjoy it. He and Paul Richardson would come hear me and crack up. Too bad there is no real journalistic humanity in Wilmo anymore--not that there ever was anybody like Al. i also worked with his wife. Loved them both. Thanks for the question!
