Christine McHoes aka Miss Chrissy dove into her music career at a very young age back in Minnesota. She inherited her musical genes from the 'ladies' of the family with an emphasis on voice and piano.
She began her first hitch at age 15 as lead vocalist of The Mark Larson Trio out of New London. It was there she cut her eye teeth on the coat tails of Big Band/Swing/Crooner Giants of the 40's,50's & 60's.Throughout her career, she took progressive steps in singing the classics of Country, Pop, Funk, Rock and Jazz.
While in Minnesota, she fronted as lead vocalist/percussionist and sometimes keyboardist with a few local bands; Daybreak, out of Brainerd, MN.... Slyder, from Olivia, MN. And lastly, she toured with a Minneapolis based show-band throughout the mid-west.
In early '82, Christine moved to Alaska to spread her wings and taste different waters. It was here she joined and fronted one of Anchorage's popular bands, Locomotion for almost 7 years, with a focus on Pop, Rock and Funk.
They released one album entitled Locomotion "First Run" and enjoyed local success with radio play & a dedicated following. The band entered KFC songwriting contest through BillBoard Magazine and placed 2nd in the..(get this) RAP category...with the song, 'Influence of Love'...! 2 other songs off the album made Honorable Mention.
During a long family break from the industry, Christine began writing and recording her Contemporary Christian music before branching out into her other favorite genre of smooth jazz.
In 2011, she recorded and released her first solo album entitled 'Wash Me Away' with collaborations from various artists from the U.S. and around the world.
Christine's music has gained popularity world-wide with the advent of the internet age and she's been interviewed in the UK, Trinidad's 4 U Wii Live, New Jersey's DrCal Show, and locally in Alaska, by The Mike Porcaro Show of 650 KENI am radio. And just recently added to the mix is KONR 106.1 FM Anchorage radio with Jack Tobin at the helm from 6-10 PM nightly.
Today, she's back out singing part time with Mr. Little, as they perform,
