Amber Reigns music is created from the bands experiences and beliefs. The name itself is in reference to Amber Alert a cause the group feels strongly about.
The song “Calm Me Down” picked up by USA 1st in Jacksonville Florida as the theme song to their High School seminar is a prime example of their writing. The song was inspired by a trip to Toronto where a homeless gentleman asked for money. Nick went into the sub shop and purchased him a sub and a drink. 15 minutes later he expressed his feelings onto paper. Nick said it happens sometimes like this you just get inspiration on the feelings of the moment. I wish I could have done more for him.
Shoemaker is also a good example of this creative writing. Enzo created this by recalling his childhood and the escape from El Salvador. His Father instilled the giving back mentality to him and he is a part of Intercede a charity created to help the less fortunate around the world and their presence is very strong in the Haiti relief.
It’s been a very positive and productive year for Amber Reigns. They performed “Calm Me Down” acoustically live on Giant FM in Welland Ontario, released their first EP that got great reviews from the Times Review and Niagara this week. Landed one of the top 22 Indie bands in Canada by In Discover and then to top the year off on November 1 2010 signed a 2 year deal with Voodoo Records.
Numerous cities and numerous venues these guys have played over the two years together doing exactly what they love to do “Play Live”.
