Detroit Voodoo / Bio

Detroit Voodoo is urban groove metal from Detroit, MI
Rube (vocals)
Big E (bass)
Nico (guitar)
Inspired by groups such as White Zombie, Pantera, Slipknot, Mudvayne, Godsmack, and Alice Cooper, their sound is constructed with machine gun drumlines, earth shaking subs, solid aggressive riffs and powerful vocals. Shrunken heads, pulsating strobes, skulls and intense showmanship give the crowd an evil hypnotic Voodoo display. Slamming his Voodoo staff and chanting to the crowd, Rube, "The Medicine Man" presents a crowd leading character that makes you feel like you are part of the Detroit Voodoo show and that he relates with your everyday hardships and the thing we call life. The Medicine Man sings of his life story and your stories. "We treat every single person that comes to our show like they are family or friends. None of this is possible without their support!"
Detroit Voodoo has already received air-play and support from world wide, national, and local radio stations such as Sirius/XM octane, WRIF 101.1, Banana 101.5, 89X 88.7, and numerous internet stations. The members of Detroit Voodoo have shared the stage with many national acts such as Avenged Sevenfold, Mushroomhead, Flaw, Saliva, Exodus, Five Bolt Main, Egypt Central, Dry Kill Logic, Dope, ESHAM, Motogrator, Spineshank, Wolfpac, Crud, Critical Bill and Hed P.E.
In 2009 Detroit Voodoo performed at Psychopathic Records 10th annual Gathering of the Juggalos, including Insane Clown Posse, Ice Cube, Gwar, Hed PE, Vanilla Ice, Kotton Mouth Kings, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Pauly Shore, Twiztid, as well as many other.
Detroit Voodoo is very dedicated and driven towards success. They would be a strong asset to any business minded company. Hard work, years of dedication, creativity and professionalism are all key factors to this band. The “sound” of Detroit Voodoo can very easily fit the criteria for modern day movies, aggressive sports/entertainment, and video gaming.
