May Weather began as a group of western Maryland high schoolers looking to add something new to the local music scene at the time. Always keeping their original motives in mind, May Weather is continuously striving to push the boundaries of ska/rock music and add a touch of change to the current music scene. Influences from multiple genres like ska punk, metal, pop punk, and alternative rock genres generate heavy hitting horns mixed with breakdowns and shredding guitar licks. Together, the band brings a new sound that is far from what most people consider "ska music."
The band went through a few member changes in their first few years together until the current line up was formed in 2010. Since then, May Weather has gained a reputation for an electric stage show, crazy antics, and heavy crowd and fan involvement. In June of 2012, May Weather released their debut EP, "This is Almost an Album" produced by Jared Youngbar (formally I The Breather). The band then released a follow up full length album entitled "Your Life on Optimism" in December of 2012. Both releases received countless praise by fans and music critics and professionals alike. After three years of touring the east coast playing basements to headlining major festivals, the band is putting the finishing touches on their highly anticipated second full length album entitled "Spring Forward" as 2015 comes to a close.
May Weather shows no sign of slowing down as they enter 2016. The band plans on touring as much as possible in 2016 to both new and familiar cities and is already working on their fourth album release.
