Tears of the Dying was first established in the summer of 2007 and have been making a name for themselves in the Ohio,Pennsylvania,and West Virginia metal scene.The current lineup consists of Joe Dogg-Vocals and drums,Jay Scary-Lead guitars.synth and vocals, Lucian-Guitars, Greg-Bass. Although a number of lineup changes has occured over the years, founding members Joe Dogg and Jay Scary have made sure that the music has stayed consistant with Tears of the Dying's signature sound. They were featured on Vitruvian Records Southwest Florida Metal Scene Compilation Disc and by being chosen to be featured on the disc was a real honor. This has really opened up a wide spectrum for them and they have really gained quite a following in the state of Florida. They have also just signed a contract with Arkham/Freaky Pug Records to release an acoustic version of their song Pain Aside to be used on a compilation disc titled Break the Silence to raise money for Domestic Violence charities. Tears of the Dying's music can be found on a wide variety of internet radio stations, mom and pop radio stations, as well as several national chain radio stations spanning 6 continents. They have become friends with multi-platinum producer Beau Hill who is famous for his work with Warrant,Ratt,Europe,Alice Cooper,Stevie Nix,WInger,and Twisted Sister and will be working with him on a project in the upcoming months.Their self titled album was mixed,recorded and mastered at Red Room Studios by Chris Grogan formerly of Bobaflex. They have also worked with Brenden Seditz who has recorded the likes of Necrophagia, various members of the Wu Tang Clan, and countless national artists.They performed at the 2009 Slave to the Metal Tour hosted by fuses own Mistress Juliya and shared the stage with Victory Records own Nobody Lives Forever.They have opened for such national acts such as Bobaflex,Soil,The Autumn Offering,Dope,Divine Heresy(Featuring Dino of Fear Factory),Flaw, and Stricken just to name a few.Hailing from Steubenville Ohio and Huntington West Virginia we hope you like their music.
