The Grenadines' roots burrow deeply back in time over thirty years, when Darren Ryan and Edward Carnal teamed together as teenagers to form their first garage band known as Double Barrel. Years, girlfriends, bands, degrees and jobs had passed when the two friends joined forces once again in 2002 to play a benefit show for their high school alma mater. Instantly recognizing the musical chemistry that had been untapped for so long, The Grenadines was born.
Soon afterward, Corey Wayne Hale was recruited to contribute his signature vocal and harmonica talents to the blend. Bassist extraordinaire Carlos Villalobos joined The Grenadines in 2009, contributing fuller texture to the rhythm section and even more outstanding musicianship. Most recently, the band’s sound continued to evolve when the band added the keyboard wizardry of Paul Silver to the mix in 2010. Together, these five ingredients come together to create an intoxicatingly fun-filled, musical experience.
